The River:   The Little Red River simply said, is an icy cold blue ribbon trout fishing - dream come true. The Lake:  Nestled in the Ozark foothills between Clinton and Heber Springs, Greers Ferry is among the state's five largest lakes. It is also tops in providing great fishing, water sports, boating and camping along with scuba diving and cliff jumping. The award-winning reservoir served as the national model for environmental cleanliness. Greers Ferry Lake totals about 40,500 acres with a combined shoreline of just over 340 miles.  There are several boat ramps and marinas to rent or launch or store your favorite vessel to explore the crystal-clear waters.

Heber Springs:  Heber Springs is located near the center of Cleburne County. Arkansas Highway 5 bypasses the center of the city to the east, leading north 40 miles to Mountain View and south 62 miles to Little Rock. Searcy is 28 miles to the southeast via Highway 16.  Even before the town was formed, the area was known for its mineral springs. The Old Soldiers Reunion is the longest continuing annual event in the area, having been celebrated annually since 1887. A lighted parade and a Holiday Trail of Lights Tour commemorate the Christmas season. Throughout the year, visitors and residents can enjoy dramatic productions at the Gem Theater and displays of local art at the Arts Council Gallery on Main Street. Heber Springs is also the home of nationally known Aromatique products and of the Glynda Turley Showroom and Art Gallery.
