Burr Oak 42
Description
Located in the bluffs of northeastern Doniphan County lies the Burr Oak 42. This tract consists of 42 acres of timber, 38 of which are on the west side of Randolph Rd and the remaining 4 acres is a strip of timber on the east side. This property is a deer and turkey hunter's dream made up of thick timber and ridges with an elevation change of nearly 150' from the road to west end. There are huge ag fields that extend out to the north in the bottoms making this a great place to catch the deer coming and going to the food. There is a nice year-round flowing creek along the road with immense cover and thick wooded draws that extend to the top of the ridge where there is a nice plateau that makes for an excellent bedding area or food plot. There are lots of big trees along the ridge for roosting turkeys as well. With this combination of cover, water, and food, this tract is the perfect recipe for giant deer and longbeards that this part of KS is known for! There is power and water available at the road with a couple of level areas along the west side to put a building or cabin. Another BIG positive for this property is that it has had no hunting pressure in the past several years with good deer management by the neighbors on surrounding properties. Better hurry, this one won't last long!
