Mossy Oak Properties, Inc. is pleased to announce that North Carolina land broker Andrew Walters of Mossy Oak Properties Land and Farms Realty in Greenville, North Carolina, received its prestigious “Fox Haas Award” at the company’s recent Land Summit, held on February 27th through February 28th, 2024.
The Fox Haas Award, named after the iconic patriarch of the Mossy Oak brand, recognizes a member of the Mossy Oak Properties network that was nominated by their peers for possessing characteristics such as honor, integrity, and a servant’s heart. Walters, who has been with Mossy Oak Properties since starting his career as a land specialist over a decade ago, was humbled by winning the Fox Haas Award.
“I’ve watched men I admire receive the Fox Haas Award but I honestly never considered I’d be nominated, let alone the recipient for this type of recognition,” said Walters, who also won his second Rainmaker Award at this years’ Land Summit. “Understanding what the Fox Haas Award represents, and who it’s named for, really puts into perspective how much of an honor it is. In the few times I’ve spoken directly to Mr. Fox, he’s always been a delight to be around, humble, and an absolute gentleman. It’s safe to say they don’t make men like Mr. Fox anymore. And you don’t need to be around him long to realize that,” Walters said.
Walters continued by saying: “I have the privilege of crossing paths with people who share a passion for land, wildlife, conservation, and the outdoors on a daily basis. I have an immense amount of respect for Mr. Fox and the conservation efforts he led around the wild turkey. The idea that we must conserve wildlife and their habitat for the next generation is what allowed someone like myself to grow up in the outdoors, to then obtain a degree in wildlife conservation, and eventually end up at home with Mossy Oak Properties. I truly consider this the pinnacle of professional and personal recognition within the Mossy Oak Properties organization. It’s evident that Mr. Fox is a southern gentleman, a conservationist, and a man who loves his family and God. It’s an honor to be the recipient of the 2024 Fox Haas Award.”
