Mossy Oak Properties Honors Resa Vickers Community Service Award Recipients

Mossy Oak Properties is pleased to announce the recipients of its inaugural Resa Vickers Community Service Award, which honors the legacy of Resa Vickers, who served Mossy Oak Properties and Mossy Oak for over 25 combined years before her retirement in 2024.  Resa was instrumental in the growth of Mossy Oak Properties, as well as the success of the Mossy Oak Properties Fox Hole Shootout, which has raised over $1 Million dollars for its’ charities since its inception.  Like Resa, this award signifies someone who goes above and beyond to serve their community and gives back to those in need.

Each of these recipients were instrumental in leading recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Helene.  The recipients are:

  • Lindsey Vaughn, of Mossy Oak Properties Southern Land and Homes in Perry, Florida;
  • Mossy Oak Properties Carolina Timber and Realty in Sylva, North Carolina;
  • And Chris and Erica Dowdy, of Mossy Oak Properties Tennessee Land and Farm in Dover, Tennessee.

Chris Hawley, CEO/President and Co-Founder of Mossy Oak Properties, expressed gratitude for Resa as well as the recipients.  “When we thought of a community service award, there was only one name we considered for the title.  Resa impacted so many during her time here, and was simply one that rolled up her sleeves and got it done.  These inaugural recipients mirror that.  When tragedy struck, they sprang into action and put their lives on hold to serve others.  This type of focus on impacting others is so rare in todays’ world yet so prevalent in our Mossy Oak Properties family. We are grateful for Resa and each of these recipients!”

The Mossy Oak Properties land brokerage network was launched in 2003 and currently serves over 30 states. In 2024, our network completed 3600 transactions totaling $1.1 Billion+ in sales volume and over 180,000 acres sold. For more information, visit www.mossyoakproperties.com
