Jared Groce

Jared comes from a long line of Texans. The "original" Jared Groce came to Texas in 1819, and was known as "The Father of Texas Agriculture" Jared was raised in Cooke County and was in the retail furniture business for 20 years in Cooke, Denton, and Wise Counties. He also spent 10 years as a Firefighter / EMT in North Texas. Jared's knowledge of the area and its people is a valuable asset to his clients.

Jared's obsession with hunting and fishing have taken him all over the world, but his favorite place to hunt and fish are right here in Texas, where he pursues predators, deer, turkey, upland game, and waterfowl. He is also very involved in dozens of conservation organizations and was a Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education Instructor for 23 years.

He is also a past President of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Era I.S.D. School Board, Chairman of the Red River Valley Ducks Unlimited, board member of CASA of North Texas, Decatur Lion's Club, and Past Master of Era  Lodge 796.

With 17 years of full time rural real estate experience under his belt, Jared's clients speak very highly of him, and are always glad to give him as a reference to others. As an outdoorsman, businessman, and rancher, he understands not only the ins and outs of real estate transactions, but also the details of property ownership and stewardship.  He is an eight time recipient of the Mossy Oak Properties Pinnacle Club Award, a 2023 nominee as Agent of the Year, and a 2023 recipient of the Mossy Oak Properties Big Fish Award.

Testimonials

Mr. & Mrs.
Jared Groce has sold two properties for Gail and me. The first property was owned by Gail's sister who died unexpectedly. We were left with the task of selling her property and seeing that the estate was settled between the two surviving children. The property consisted of a three-bedroom home and approximately 15 acres of land located near Boliver, Texas. The house was in need of repair prior to being sold. Jared worked tirelessly, releasing the family of the associated stress. Not only did he list the home at a reasonable price, but found repairmen to complete the necessary work to ensure a better price. More recently, Jared sold 100 acres located on Hwy. 51 south of Era for us. This property was inherited by my sister, who lives in Lubbock, and me. Jared was very knowledgeable of the value of this property and we were able to close within 45 days of its listing. We have found the selling of land can be an emotional venture, but Jared made us feel confident in our decisions on both instances. Jared Groce is 100% professional!
