Billy McTeer
Billy received a B.S. degree from Clemson University in 1975 and a M.S. degree in wildlife biology in 1978. He started working for the SCDNR in 1978 where he created the Small Game Program to work with private landowners to improve their land for small game animals such as the bobwhite quail. He was honored as the first recipient of the Havilah Babcock Award for Excellence in bobwhite quail management. Billy held various titles with the SCDNR including director of legislative services and retired as Deputy Director of the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division. Upon his retirement, he worked as a private consultant, received his real estate license, and has been selling real estate for three years. He enjoys selling recreational property and helping potential landowners find the property best suited to meet their goals. Billy is a certified wildlife biologist and is the Past President of the South Carolina Chapter of the Wildlilfe Society.
